Do Talk to Starngers

Sabrina Dubik believes that "we" should talk to strangers. she believes that if we engage an unexpected conversation with strangers it changes our life's. she works at a dinner , and one day she went to go take a man order and she noticed  that he sat at her table week after week. shortly she began to engage conversation with Mr rogers . he told her that he would go to dinner and a movie on Saturdays with his wife , and after she died he still continued the tradition . she began to remember what he wanted order , she make conversation with him by talking about his wife , his days flying in the war , and his son who had grew up and moved out . then they would talk about her anticipations . 4 months after meeting him she had got a call from a nurse telling her that he is in the intensive care unit . he had heart complications after a heart surgery and he began to bleed internally . as she got to the hospital she began to think about him telling her about him having chest pains . after that she was learned that strangers can become friends or acquaintances and she now engage conversations with her costumers .

i enjoyed listening to her , i would have never look at talking to strangers in that way .  her personal life experience inspired me to Inge conversation with "certain " strangers. I'm sure Mr rogers was a good friend to her . one day i hope to have a experience just like her .

Senior Project 'Health Fair

Two Seniors had  PowerPoint presentation about a specific topic that they  both picked . the topic was about abortion and they both were against it . the first senior presentation was of course similar to the other senior but what stood out was that when we asked one senior would they get an abortion she agreed that she would. the other senior said she wouldn't . They both had posters and panthlet's to had out to us .

I like the PowerPoint and the topics they had . i am also against abortion . i like both thesis , and both presented well . i fund the presentation very informing . what i didn't like was that a senior was against abortion but she stated if she would get pregnant she would get an abortion . i understand that if she get pregnant if bad but it would be her fault . and if you against abortion then why would you get it because of young you are . put it up for adoption or  give it to a love one . other than that i enjoyed it .

 the company woolrich that is 182 years old creates new chino pants . the pants has a comfortable and flexible fabric and its great for holding a handgun. there is a second pocket behind the traditional front pocket for a weapon / the back pockets are also designed to help hide things like a knife or a flashlight for an example. the pants cost $65. several companies been using that idea also , building  the idea that its ok to carry weapons . the ranks went up seven million last year from five million in the year 2008 , only because of the changes to state laws on concealed weapons .

this fashion trend will continue . some people may think its cool , and just the fact to carry a gun . already clothing brands are making clothing for concealing weapons , which i think is a bad thing because its going to make the streets unsafe . the more people that wear these clothes and that have weapons I'm sure their looking for any thing to have an excuse to use their weapon . if  you watch the news you will see what the world is coming to . this is only making things worst . i really disagree with Americans that's allowed to carry guns .people out their is crazy and i don't think no one but police should be able to carry guns out on the street life that . what if you walking down the street and you could see everyone with a gun , you would be scared right ? people are going to take this too far . if people are wearing these clothes out on the street , there also gonna be everywhere . you will never know , one day you may be in a store and the person next to you could be carrying a gun . if i knew that i would be scared . i think gun laws are too permissive only because its making the environment dangerous . . if More people carry guns it will reduce more crimes only because people like to take advantage of things like that..

Man busted with $2 million in pot jailed in NJ

 According to (http://abclocal.go.com/wpvi/story?section=news/local&id=8620959) there was a Florida man who had 600 pounds of marijuana (weed/pot) in a tractor-trailer that he was driving in New Jersey . he was sentence 15 years in prison .Gordon Peters has to serve 10 years of his term before becoming eligible for parole. The 44-year-old Miramar resident was convicted in February of possessing marijuana with the intent to distribute in a quantity of more than 25 pounds. In January 2010 peter was arrested after Bayonne police stopped to investigate an open truck. After detecting a strong odor of marijuana, officers found Peters inside the truck with one of the 32 marijuana bundles found inside the vehicle.the marijuana he had was worth 2 million.Peters stated he didn't know the drugs were in the truck , trying to maintain his innocence when he was sentenced Friday .

There are millions of people now that sell drugs. Some people don't get caught . i never knew you could get so many years just by having marijuana . I have witness and knew a couple people that  have been caught selling or having drugs on them . Having 2 million dollars of marijuana is outrageous . I still don't know the value or how serious marijuana is . Sadly i do think that 15 years is good for him. what was he gonna do with the marijuana anyways ? everyone knows he was going to make money off of it . he lived in Florida , what was he doing in new jersey? i honestly think having a truck is  suspicious. well now Gordon is in jail , although i do wounder what did the police did with the marijuana .

Final goodbyes for fallen Philadelphia firefighters

Acorrding to (http://abclocal.go.com/wpvi/story?section=news/local&id=8615830) thousands of people lined up to pay respects to two of Philadelphia's finest. At St. Cecilia's Roman Catholic Church in Fox Chase Saturday morning as family, friends and strangers waited to get in for the viewing of 25-year-old Daniel Sweeney the doors were full of long lines.Sweeney's co-workers from Ladder Company 10 lowered his casket from Engine 7 and carried it inside for his final viewing and funeral. Sweeney was killed along with 60-year-old Lieutenant Robert Neary, after they were caught in a building that  collapse after Monday's five-alarm fire in Kensington. Two firefighters were rescued and one of them still remains in the hospital.At the conclusion of the ceremony, Sweeney's flag-draped coffin was loaded onto Engine 7 for one final ride. His body was taken to Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Cheltenham, where he was laid to rest.
Another viewing will be held for Lt. Neary from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Givnish Funeral Home.

I honestly think this was a tragedy , but i want to know why was only these two fire fighters the center of attention. No disrespect to their families or anything but there are fire fighters that are killed everyday . Besides that i have sympathy for them. I do think it is absolutely sad . I never went threw anything like that but i can imagine what their families are going threw . As i learned about the building that killed them two fire fighters it made me upset. That morning i woke up to seeing it on the news had me shaking my head . Its nothing we can do about but i do want justice for the owner if that building .

Trayvon Martin

Trayvon was wearing a hoodie , carring skittles and a arizona iced tea. their where no weapons found . many people believe this was a racist crime , and trayvon parents will not stop till their justice. everyone knws about this cases . it very popular . its in magazines, on tv , and etc. they have police calls and audio as proof. Around the time 6;30 pm on feb 26 trayvon was walking home from his girlfriend house at the retreat at twin lakes in florida. he went to the 7 eleven store to pick up osome snacks. the store was about three quarters of a mile. trayvon was on the phone with his 16 year old  girlfriend walkiing home . trayvon made it back to the gated complex just after 7 p.m . Zimmerman seen trayvon walking slowly , so zimmerman called 911 to report trayvon as a "suspicious person". zimmerman called like around 7:09 pm.  the call lasted for atleast four minutes . at the end of the call  zimmerman says  trayvon is running and the sounds of zimmerman breathing hard. at 7:14 zimmerman hangs up . less than 3 minutes later trayvon Martin was dead from 1 gunshot wound to the chest from zimmerman kal-tec 9 mm pistol . when police arrived they found trayvon face down and motionless in a patch of grass thats was about 70 feet from the back porch of his fathers girlfriend's house.

This Trayvon Martin case is a big tragedy . I protested for justice . Its all over the news , no one can miss it . Everybody is devistated  about the  Trayvon incident .  I honestly wish Zimmerman gets arrested . I dont think that was right to get away so smoothly like that .  Everybody is suspicious but the police . I am glad that  everybody wants justice along with me . I really am sad about the Trayvon case . I cant wait until the trail comes .

For women under 30,most births occur outside marriage

It used to be called illegitimacy now it normal. after 5 decades the share of children born  to unmarried women has crossed a threshold. more than half of births to American women under 30 occur outside marriage. the fastest growth in the last two decades has occurred among white women in their 20's who have some college education but no four year degree. 59% of mother of all ages in 2009 are married when they have children . women that's younger nearly two thirds of children in the united states are born to mother under 30 . its a symbol of the transforming family and a hint of coming generational change.hat is turning family structure into a new class divide, with the economic and social rewards of marriage incessantly reserved for people with the most education. children born outside marriage face elevated risks of failing in school of suffering emotional and behavioral problems. 92 percent of college educated women are married when they give birth two thirds of couples living together split up by the time their child turned 10.women don't rely on men anymore.

i think as the years go on it will increase. alot of people are sexually active . i was born to an unmarried women and yes she don't rely on any man . i think if i had a child and i wasn't married i wouldn't worry because i feel that i don't need a man to help me . i think its a independent characteristic alot of women have. although i will try my best to make sure i find the right man to have a child with . i don't want my child to fail in school or have emotional problem and behavior problem's . i do agree that yes it is normal NOW.

According to (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kony-2012/ ) Kony 2012 is a film created by Invisible Children , Inc. the purpose for the film is to promote the charily movement "Stop Kony " to make the indicted Ugandan war criminal Joseph Kony internationally known in order to arrest him in the year 2012. On March 19 2012 the video film had over 83 million views on youtube and on Vimeo their was 16.6 million veiws. the video was so intense that is caused the "Kony 2012" website to crash because of the amount of veiws. Celebrities such as Rihanna,Taylor Swift,Christina Milian, Nicki Minaj, Bill Gates , and Kim Kardashian endorsed the campaign. April 20 2012 supporters are putting up posters that promotes Kony 2012  all over the U.S. you can purchase posters online. Invisible Children Inc have created action kits to help spread awareness that includes buttons, posters, bracelets , and stickers .

i think Joseph Kony should be arrest more like executed . he's done so much damage . i am with the Kony 2012 movement . i tweet about it all the time. Kony 2012 is everywhere  . its good the celebrities are helping , i am really am looking forward to  hearing the Kony is arrested or Dead.

Im a criminal and so are you

Michelle Alexander asks the Questions " who am i ? " " how do i identify ? " why ? because she considers everyone a criminal . she has been walking around telling people she's a criminal. Everyone is in shock because she doesnt look like one.  Alexander tells us that most of her accquaintances dont think of themselves as criminals . Most peple think criminals exist somewhere like in ghettos mainly. Michelle makes a point that everybody commits a crime but the difference is not everybody gets caught.  She view as no better than many of those who've been branded felns for life. Michelle states " if everyone were forced to acknowledge their own criminality , maybe we, as a nation , would second-guess our apparent zeal for denying full citizenship to those branded felons for life. " After alexander statement she tells us millions of people are forced into a permanent second class status because they commited a crime . That can effect alot of things for an example voting. Michelle tells us that she thinks if Obama thought of himself as a criminal he wouldnt have endorsed spending money on prisons and would have spent more money on education and health care or just anything else. Her knowing that she's a criminal helped her see more clear.

This article was by far the most interesting article i read. Michelle makes good points that having me questioning myself.  i now veiw myself as a criminal , and i do believe that everyone is a criminal. Although i do think its fair that the people who do bad crimes should get in trouble .

That specific system has made it possible for apple and hundreds of  other companies to build soft wares quickly. in the last decade , apple became one of the mightiest , richest, and most successful companies in the world. apple and is high technology peers as well as dozens of other American industries have achieved a pace of innovation nearly unmatched in modern history.The workers assembling iPhones , iPads and other devices often devices often labor in harsh conditions according to employees inside those plants, worker advocates and documents published by companies themselves.

That is a abosolutly sad story . another life is waisted. Lai was going to be something in life and he died in a tragical incident. i honestly did want to see how his invention was going to be . althought Apple is doing too much for theirselves . having incidents like that is outragest. Apple is a very good company but i think they should take a break on things . i do enjoy alot of Apple products . Everytime i hear about something new it always have something to do with Apple. i just think Apple should take a break , and let people enjoy their products , and then start to make new inventions.

Photoshopped or Not ? A Tool to Tell

The Pictures of celebrities and model in fashion advertisements and magazines are always buffed with a helping of digital polish. The retouching sometimes are slight like colors brightened or a stray hair put in place or even a pimple covered up . Other types would be drastic such as shedding 10/20 pounds , adding a few inches in height and erasing all wrinkles and blemishes . It all could be done using Adobe's Photo shop software . The American medical association adopted a policy on advertisers , body image , and others to " discourage the altering of photographs in a manner that could promote unrealistic expectations of appropriate body image." in June . Dr.Farid became interested in the problem after reading about the photo-labeling proposals in Europe.Dr.Farid and Eric Kee, a PH.D. student in computer science at Dartmouth. are proposing a software tool for measuring how much a photo has been altered. their work is intended as a technological step to address concerns about the common use of highly idealized and digitally edited images in advertising and fashion magazines.

The passages makes me question  if my favorite celebrities really look as good as they do . I am not really surprised but its a little too much when your constantly doing it and when your making people look like barbie dolls. The last time i check photo editing was for fixing little things like pimples, lighting, or what ever the case may be. I am absolutely not satisfied that people are taking this too far. I believe that the software they are creating is going to work . I am interested in using the software one day. Then again anybody does have the right to do whatever they want to their photos , its their business , but its  not right because when we see a picture of someone everyone expects to see the real deal . I hope this software come out soon , i am looking forward to seeing some interesting things .

Adele Finally Found Love

i wish the best for Adele and her new relationship. it seems like she has overcome the break up incident . i don't like the fact that her ex used her that was wrong and i feel for every pain Adele had/have. Her new beau sounds like a good man . Again i wish her the best with her relationship !

Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden is dead, President Obama said. The U.S. has his body in its possession, U.S. officials said late Sunday. Laden was killed in a joint raid overnight on  Sunday in Pakistan's northwestern district of Abbottabad,  40 miles from Islamabad.The town also is home to a Pakistani military academy.  the official said ,Two American helicopters took part in the operation.One Pakistani helicopter involved in the raid crashed after it was hit by firing from militants.
Barack Obama made an announcement on a Sunday at the White House.The development capped a manhunt of more than a decade for the architect of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks that left nearly 3,000 people dead and dramatically altered U.S. foreign policy and the nation's sense of security.
Although bin Laden was not a critical operational leader of Al Qaeda, he had been the worldwide symbol of the terrorist network.He has been so difficult to find for more than a decade, the killing of bin Laden is a major victory for Obama, who demanded an aggressive expansion of Predator drone strikes in Pakistan.In a recent book on bin Laden, Michael Scheuer, former chief of the Central Intelligence Agency's bin Laden unit, wrote that the Al Qaeda leader's goal was to attack the West, and then to move on to Arab states and Israel, but that "he has given no indication that he expects to live long enough to finish the job.

Osama bin Lead  death was a relief and i know that everyone was excited that he died. it was crazy how they killed him. it took them 10 years to kill him. the 911 was so sad and devastating . So I'm kinda glad that he is not here with us anymore .

Plan B

Teenagers across the country are being wrongly denied Plan B by pharmacists who are apparently terrible at their job,according to a new study.Pharmacists are either blatantly lying or they don't know that it's perfectly legal for girls 17 or older to buy the drug over the counter. Either way, they should be ashamed. For the study, researchers posing as 17-year-olds called 943 commercial pharmacies in five states. In cases when the pharmacists admitted Plan B was available, they told the callers they couldn't buy the contraception under any circumstances and quickly hung up on them. Teens may have had better luck had they shown up at the pharmacies in person, but a denial over the phone would certainly dissuade them from doing so. I wrote about the the FDA's wrong headed decision to not allow girls younger than 17 to buy the drug without a prescription in December. The new study is even worse news, especially because the misinformation is doled out more often in low-income neighborhoods where pregnancy rates are higher, and where girls need help staying in school and avoiding teenage pregnancy. Nearly 24 percent of the low-income neighborhood pharmacies lied to or misinformed girls about their legal access to Plan B, compared to 14.6 percent in other neighborhoods.Also, 44 percent of the pharmacies told teenagers the wrong age at which they could buy the drug over the counter: most of them said you needed to be older than 17 to obtain it (in reality you must be 17 to buy it without a prescription, but younger teens can buy it with a prescription). In lower-income neighborhoods, 50 percent of pharmacies got that one wrong compared to 37 percent in other neighborhoods.Art Caplan, director of the Center for Bioethics at the University of Pennsylvania, talked to me for my previous post, and what he said is even more true vis-a-vis this study: Young girls who find themselves pregnant have often been manipulated by an older boyfriend, uncle, neighbor, etc. into having sex. They're ashamed, scared, and need help.

i think they should use plan b . i think its easier for everyone to get birth control. i think if you can lay down and have sex than birth control should be available at any time. i dont think it should be available for ages under 13.

Halle Ready to Wed ?

Halle Berry ring in 2012 with a rock. I am absolutely happy for Halle. i think its cute that she let her daughter seal the deal. i also think that its cute that Oliver is only 1 year older then. i wish the best for Halle and her new relationship and i hope it last . he sound like a good man.

Beyonce and Jay-z dont exactly fly under the radar. when bleary-eyed new fathers were stopped on the sixth floor of NYC's Lenox Hill hospital on January 7 by security it didn't take long to figure out which Hollywood power couple were there. sure enough, says an eyewitness, beyonce's mom, Tina Knowles , her dad, Mathew,and sister,Solange, soon arrived carrying flowers and pink balloons with silver , and black ribbons. Their first born baby girl, Blue Ivy Carter was born on January 7, 2012 in New York City who only Weight 7 pounds. Number 2 highest paid celebrity couple spared no expense. A month ago, in anticipation of the birth, the private singer , 30, and her rapper husband  Jayz, 42, paid to ture roughly six existing rooms at Lenox Hill into two mahogany-walled suites said a hospital source. the couple shelled out an estimate $15000 a day for a 10 man security team to guard while Beyonce was inside. They covered surveillance cameras and required staff to turn in cellphones before shifts. some hospital goers weren't all pleased with the fanfare. many people wanted an apology for what they had to go threw to watch their baby's be born because of Beyonce and Jayz. Their way minimal disruptions to other families  a source says. they even evacuated the whole floor for 16 minutes just so Jayz could come up the stairs. Beyonce delivered Blue naturally. the couple stated " Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful." " We are in heaven." the couple gave careful consideration to Blue name. Blue was thought of from Jayz album Blue print. The middle name Ivy is the roman numeral IV for 4. it is a significant digit for both parents Beyonce birthday is September 4 and Jayz birthday is December 4, they also wed on April 4,2008 and Beyonce album is titled 4. Kelly Rowland stated " Beyonce has always been motherly." " she's a Natural."Beyonce and Jayz are now official proud parents.


I am happy for Beyonce and Jayz but i think everything that happend in the hospital was unnessary. i dont think it was right for jayz to have people not being able to see their babies be born just because he was coming up the steps for 15 minutes. Some people want an aplogy i would also want an apology too. but congrats to Jayz and Beyonce!
